This painting was sent to Peoria, Illinois, for an exhibition at Bradley Polytechnic Institute in April of 1919 one month after Woodward wins First Prize in the Hallgarten Catagory for the best artsit under the age of 35 at the National Academy of Design in NYC.

Woodward graduated from Bradley in 1904 and stayed two additional years of college preperation on a scholarship in Literature.
