Additional Notes

This chalk drawing was made in Buckland from one of the first floor bedroom windows on the Southeast side of the house looking down the valley towards Ashfield. The question is, which window?

The annex bedroom east window
The annex bedroom east window

The image above shows a portion of the
east facing window of the bedroom as one
option but yet it is unlikely because of the
terrace.

The south facing bay window of Woodward's bedroom
The south facing bay window of Woodward's bedroom

Note the stone retaining wall in the painting above.
The proximity to that suggest the window is most
likely the south facing gothic bay window in the
image above. For one thing, its position well be-
yond the terrace where the retaining wall is seen.
