It is unfortunate that we do not have a single image of the chalk drawings exhibited at this show. This is not unusual, in fact, we only
know the whereabouts of a few chalks prior to 1925. Woodward enjoyed making chalks but in terms of exhibiting them at shows is equally rare. His biggest showing of chalks was held
in 1929 at the Pynchon Art Gallery in Springfield, MA.
J.H. Miller Picture Framing Company was established in 1890 in Springfield
Massachusetts and is known as Western Massachusetts oldest frame shop and gallery. J.H. Miller is in its 3rd Century of operation and has
survived two World Wars, a depression, and several recessions.

1922 (May), and 1928) Woodward exhibited paintings at the Miller gallery with
1928 being his only significant "one man show."
