Noteworthy:
This date of this chalk drawing is unknown, however, there is evidence of some mold appearing in this artwork suggesting in is dated
between 1930 and 1932, the years RSW had this issue in a number of chalks. The mold discolored some of the greys and browns making them darker is green-ish.

This chalk drawing was made from the field in the back of the Halifax House in Halifax, Vt. The image
of this chalk drawing was sent to us by the owner.
There is an oil painting titled, The First November Snow, that exhibited the Williston Academy
in June of 1936. There is no image and we wonder if the oil was made from this chalk drawing.
