Featured Artwork: Along The Waterfront

• Woodward did not keep records of the pastels he called "chalk drawings."

If it were not for the record we have of this pastel exhibiting at the Williston Academy in East Hampton, MA, we would not know it exists. It is hard to say what the subject could be. In 1930, Woodward spent a month in Boston, MA, and made a couple paintings from the waterfront which sounds more like large body of water and not a pond or lake.
