Seventeen paintings went from the packing house of W.S.
Budworth & Son, N.Y. City (to where they had come from, Binghamton, N. Y)
to the Macbeth Gallery, 15 East 57th St. N. Y.
Feb. 19, 1935. The exhibition closed Feb. 19th . From
the above list sold Courage and Peace 36 x 42 for $900.00. Passing New England is retained by the Macbeth Gallery where it will
remain for some time. Contentment was invited by the Corcoran
Gallery of Art, Washington D.C. for its 14th Biennial Exhibition
where it will be until May 5th.
August 16, 1935: Passing New England, 30 x 36, went from Macbeth
Gallery in
N. Y. City, to be entered in exhibition of Southern Vermont Artists in
Manchester, Vt. , which lasts from August 25 to September 3rd.
September 5, 1935: Passing New England, 30 x 36, went by R. R.
Express from Manchester, Vt., where on exhibition since August 16th,
back to Macbeth Gallery in New York.
All of the above paintings were shipt back to Shelburne Falls on March
5, 1935

October Farm still remains in Raleigh, N. C., in care of The
Progressive Farmer to be used for model for color photography.

are insured during exhibition. The exhibition is supposed to be for one
week from April 7 to April 17but every year, so far, they have kept the
show over for two full weeks.
April 23, 1935. My motor car brought home from Boston to my
studio, one oil painting which had been at the Jordan Marsh Exhibition
(April 8 to April 21) From a May Pasture.

May 31st, 1935: Took in my motor car from the studio to
Deerfield Academy, Deerfield, Mass., an exhibition to be hung there during
commencement week, placing in the library wing of the Administration
Building -- 19 chalk drawings, and placing in the large reception room of
one of the dormitories, directly across the street from the Administration
Bldg. 19 oil paintings, namely: (see above)
June 19th: all of the above paintings were brought by my
motor car from Deerfield Academy back to Buckland but because of raining
too large to pack in car, left the three following paintings temporarily at
Deerfield: Mt. Equinox in April, September Peace and Late
Sugaring. These were brought home in my motor car on June 22.

through the generosity of Mr. Woodward that the exhibit includes any of his
work this year. Mr. Woodward is at present conducting a one-man show in
a Boston art gallery, and, in order to help out the local club ordered that
one of his finest paintings, Late Sugaring, be sent to the local
exhibit from the New York Galleries where it has been
hanging.
